1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using the Kuya Ate Mentorship Program ("KAMP") website or applying to participate in our programs, you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions. If you do not agree, please do not use our website or services.
2. About KAMP
KAMP is a Filipino youth mentorship initiative that connects Filipino American college students ("mentors") with high school students based in the Philippines ("mentees") in a structured, values-driven program built around personal development, mental health, self-worth, and future readiness.
3. Eligibility
To participate in KAMP programs:
- Mentors must be currently enrolled Filipino American college students in good academic standing
- Mentees must be high school students based in the Philippines, with parental or guardian consent if under 18
- All participants must complete the application process and be accepted by the KAMP team
4. Program Conduct
All participants are expected to:
- Treat all participants with respect and dignity
- Maintain appropriate boundaries consistent with a mentorship relationship
- Attend scheduled sessions and communicate promptly if unable to attend
- Uphold the values of KAMP: bayanihan, integrity, and genuine care for youth
- Refrain from sharing confidential information discussed during sessions
KAMP reserves the right to remove any participant from the program for conduct deemed harmful, inappropriate, or inconsistent with our values.
5. Volunteer Status
Mentors participate in KAMP on a volunteer basis. Participation does not constitute employment, and no compensation is provided. KAMP may provide certificates of participation or letters of recommendation at its discretion.
6. Intellectual Property
All content on this website, including text, images, logos, and program materials, is the property of KAMP and may not be reproduced, distributed, or used without prior written permission.
7. Disclaimer of Warranties
KAMP provides its website and programs "as is" without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee that our website will be error-free or uninterrupted. Participation in KAMP programs is voluntary and at your own discretion.
8. Limitation of Liability
KAMP, its organizers, and volunteers shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from participation in the program or use of this website.
9. International Use
KAMP operates across the United States and the Philippines. By participating in our programs, you acknowledge that communications and program activities may involve cross-border interactions. All participants are responsible for ensuring their participation complies with the laws of their respective countries.
