A 1-to-1 mentorship program connecting U.S.-based Filipino college students with Filipino youth in the Philippines, built on four pillars that change lives.

Pillar 02
Creating space for honest conversations about emotions, struggles, and the importance of asking for help.
Pillar 03
Helping students recognize their value, not despite where they come from, but because of it.

At the end of 4 weeks, KAMP's most important outcome is not a certificate or a grade. It is a student who looks in the mirror and believes they are capable, worthy, and enough. And the research is clear on why that matters.
#1
Predictor of Success
Psychologist Albert Bandura's research found self-efficacy, belief in your own abilities, to be the single strongest predictor of academic achievement and performance across all domains of life.
Bandura, Social Cognitive Theory
35%
Reduction in Depression Risk
A study of 2,278 students found that self-efficacy mediates 35.6% of the relationship between stress and depression. Students who believe in themselves are significantly more protected against depressive symptoms.

Lower
Anxiety & Avoidance
Higher self-efficacy is consistently linked to lower anxiety, less avoidance behavior, and stronger resilience after setbacks. Dr. Robert Brooks of Harvard Medical School identifies self-defeating assumptions as one of the greatest impediments to life.

Each student is paired 1-to-1 with a U.S.-based Filipino or Filipino American college mentor.
Mentor and mentee meet regularly over 4 weeks, guided by KAMP's four pillars.
Students grow into the next generation of kuyas and ates, passing it forward.
